Bumbags for kids

Ok I know that you call them Fanny packs but the F word means some thing else over here and even although I lived in NY 10 years ago I still can't bring myself to use the word. So I'll use the british term

Dh has bought himself a bumbag to prevent us having to carry backpacks round the parks. I plan to buy one there like I always do, but will I be able to get ones for the kids to carry some snacks and their camera's in? Or do I need to do a last minute shopping spree in the UK to try and get some for them?

We're now leaving earlier due to the terrorist attack on the airport we're flying from so getting all stressy now.

Looking forward to when we actually land in Orlando in 3 days time.

Yes, you can get "bumbags" for the kids in WDW. My daughter got one several years ago with Sorcerer Mickey on it. Last summer we saw several different styles. We are leaving for WDW on 7/6 and plan to buy DS6 a "bumbag" when we get there. Hope you have a great trip.

Dd trapped her hand in the car door today and we've spent all day at the hospital having been admitted for surgery to remove the nail and sort the nail bed when I announced Florida and they changed tactic. So fingers crossed we can still go for our bumbags!

I was horrified when I heard what they are called in the US. It's such a rude term over here.

Fanny packs are also called waist packs here...or at least that is what LL Bean, a camping outfitter, sells them as here. It is funny how we all speak English, but our slang is so different. In the US we say we are stuffed when we are full after a large meal. I understands it means that you are pregnant in the UK. Heaven help me! I already have five...that would be the the last thing I need...

I just saw some waist packs at a Wal-mart in the camping/sporting goods section. I was shopping for inexpensive rain ponchos. They seemed small enough for children and were reasonably priced $5.99. I believe the waist band had an adjustable buckle on it.
