Bulletin Board Ideas

I need some creative ideas and ya'll are creative.

I've volunteered to do the PTO bulletin board this year (no one did it last year). I'm looking for some good catchy unboring titles and bulletin board ideas. I've never done a bulletin board before, but its just a really BIG scrapbooking page Right?

I'm thinking about splitting it in half

Parent Open House dates
JamboREAD (carnival) Date
Spirit Day- School Colors

Lunch Menu and September School Calendar

and

Right Side: PTO News
Pictures of the Board members with their title
First meeting Date
Fall Fundraiser Dates

Proposed Budget (yup I'm the treasurer, I'd better get that done too), Proposed By-laws (we're in the process of changing them)
Meeting Agenda
Box Tops Flyer


Our School colors are Blue and Orange (I think?), mascot is Tiger. So I was thinking Blue background orange lettering.

I'm open to any opinions and suggestions. Am I trying to cram too much on it?

Is the board supposed to be for students, teachers, parents or all of the above? Is it in the hall or main office?

Exxon gas stations sometimes have the tiger tails that they pass out. They are cheap plush w/ an elastic band attached to them. You could attach that to your board. Might be worth a call to the closest one.

I'll have to think about a cool slogan, etc. All that pops into my head now (bc DS ate these for B'fast) is Tony Tiger's "They'rrrrrrre Great!"

It's supposed to be for all? Mostly Students and parents. It is in the hall, directly across from the main office. There are hanging files on either side of it for notices that have gone home in students folders, that may have not actually gotten to the intended destination.

Exxon? I honestly can't recall if there are any left around here. Thanks for the tip, search for one. Thanks.


Any other ideas?
