Building Question!!

If it makes you feel better I spent 3 whole days building my roof. And I found the walls were the easiest for the middle yup tried everything. It is not perfect because I wanted to add a train ride. Will post a pic in a minute.

Also be aware you can add more items in if you use the walls some how the more crates you use the less items you can have:confused3

Thanks Everyone for all the info!!! This all really helps me out with build my Gingerbread House!!!

Good Luck Everyone with your Building! I would LOVE to see everyone's houses when they are all finished!! :) :thumbsup2

the easiest is the way are the 'Dutch Colonial' look where the ends of the house roof area are flat, or if you did like I did, I used the full corner roof pieces, but on the last row where the topmost would have shown brown, instead of white, I put my chimney. lol I cheated.;)
Let me find a picture of it and I'll show you how I did mine.

Edited to add: Thanks LittleBelle for the hint for the chimney! :)

The first picture I show here has the Dutch Colonial look.:)

The next has more of the mansard look they were aiming for with the roof tiles and corner pieces.

Of course it took me forever messing with it to get it the way I wanted. :rotfl: And if you will note..the candies are a great way to hide any unwanted seams!:rotfl2:

Thanks for the Pictures, they helped out ALOT! I LOVE how you did the little roof above the doorway, looks cute! Also the fire on the chimney was a great touch. :thumbsup2

Oh and yes those little mints and gumdrops are a great way to hide the little inperfections. ;)

Here's where I have to note if you have fire coming out your chimney, you potentially Have a problem :rolleyes1 You might could have used a chimney sweep, grab your cookies and run. Very creative idea, everyone is making great cookie houses. If you find parts missing I have heard of a few people munching on the cookie houses so beware.
