Build a droid & lightsaber?

My wonderful IT guys at work would like me to build them some droids while at DHS, I would like to collect the money up front from them - any idea how much they run?

The light sabers as well, as my son will be building one of those. Can he use the light saber he builds during JTA?

You cannot use your own lightsabers during JTA.

I believe a lightsaber costs around $26 and the droids around $10-12 for a 2 pack.

Lightsaber prices vary - the most basic is around $25. Then a Kylo Ren type was a bit more($35ish) and double bladed (a la Darth Maul) was even more.

I forget the exact price of droids, but it was right around $20 for a 2 pack. My boys debated whether to split it and each make one, and I know it was gonna be at least $10 of their hard earned souvenir money for each of them.

Last time we built droids (October, 2015), it was $23.00 for a 2-pack. Fun times though!!

Yes, it was about $22-$23 for the two pack of droids last week.

We just built a droid Monday. I think 12.99 for one and a two pack was 22.99. They put them in blister packs that take up lots of room, so you may want to skip the packaging unless that is critical to the guys. Our packaging came with lettering to name them. PM me if you can't find a pic on line and need one.

I would not skip the packaging. For die hard collectors, it is important. You might want to ask your IT guys what color droids they want. My brother is a collector and he requested specific colors (ok, he is a little over board). Make sure you get all the pieces available. I know it sounds weird, but it's probably important to your IT guys. They are only available at Disney. They resell for more on eBay.

The shop at the exit of Star Tours. Used to have the lightsabers at Once Upon A Toy as well, but I'm not sure if they still are there or not.

They have both the Build a Lightsaber and Build a Droid at Once Upon a Toy. We were sorry we didn't do it there. It was so crowded in HS. Once Upon a Toy had so much more room and was so less crowded.

Droids are at Star Tours gift shop. There are lots of colors and models, make sure the boys know who they want if it's important to them. I think they only have R2 and r4 heads in various colors. They also have adorable Mickey and Indy jones hats for them. Blister packs, while bulky, are an adorable must!!
