Buick test drive offer

WOW! THanks SOOO much! We are staying at a Marriott this summer for a family wedding.... this will more than cover a full night's stay! I am willing to give up 30 minutes from my day for this! Thanks again! YIPPEE!!....P :cool1:

I just jumped to marriott.com and it looks like it's pretty expensive to stay there. I thought if it was cheap enough I'd do it for a weekend getaway with my wife, but i'm getting quotes of around 300 for a 2 night stay.

If you like to stay there, or already have plans... Jump on it! The terms state that you can use 1 cert. for every 2 nights you stay. It (to me) clearly states that you can use more than one for longer stays.

I just cannot figure out how to get more than one certificate. If DH did it and used a different address, would that mess us up when it came time to check in/check out/pay at the hotel? I already printed one certificate for myself. I will go later this week to do the test drive. DH has the time to do one also, but I just cannot figure out how to get him his own certificate. Any suggestions?.............P

ETA: I just went back and read the fine print.... it states "one per person, per household".... Hate to sound stupid, but does that mean you can have TWO certificates in a two-person household? ...........P

It depends on which properties you are looking at. Marriott includes several levels of accommdations including Marriott, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc. Each have their own price ranges. We usually stay at the Residence Inns for around $79/night. We have also stayed at the Renaissance in Nashville for as little as $80/night AAA rate.

We have done marriott bonus bucks promos before and they have always been good at only the full service marriott's or at Renaissance hotels. But not good at the other marriott chains such as Residence inn, courtyard, fairfield, or springhill suites.

just thought I would let you know in case those were the hotels you were interested in.

Thanks! The offer stated "Marriott Hotels and Resorts" so I wasn't sure if it included all Marriott brands but we have been successful getting reasonable AAA rates even at Marriott and Renaissance Hotels.

This Test Drive came just in time. I have a wedding in May at the Marriott Rennaisance in Minneapolis. I am so excited!! Thanks to the OP for this great offer.

WOW this is the first GOOD test drive :shamrock: have seen since Nov 2000 when I did 5 different test drives for a total of $300.00!! :wizard:

We did our test drive today. Will be sending for our coupon tomorrow.

Did they give you much of a hassle? When we have done promotions like this in the past, the dealer has actually signed our form without actually making us take a test drive when we told him we didn't see ourselves buying a new vehicle within the next year.

That's good to know. I'm hoping to get out today and do the test drive. I plan on being totally honest and letting them know that I am only doing this for the Marriott bucks.... I am not in a position to buy a new car right now. Maybe they will save themselves (and me) some time and skip the drive!....P

I have done many of these at the Nashua dealers over the years and not a one has made me actually drive the vehicle involved. I'll be heading to Buick this weekend!

I'm excited because it states on the form that no test drive is required in Maryland so I guess all I have to do is stop in and have it signed. :bounce:

I love these things, and I've done several of them over the years. The truth is that they usually don't require you to drive the car anywhere -- they don't want to waste their time if you're only there for the reward. Plus, they know that if they're just pleasant and let you look around a bit, you'll leave with a positive impression of their dealership, which means you may be back when you're serious about buying.

Well.... I walked in, found a salesman, and said "Hi... I need to test drive a Buick. But I must be honest... I'm only doing it for Marriott Reward Bucks." His reply.... "Oh... okay, no need to drive then." He took my form to his supervisor, they filled it out, returned it to me with a business card and a smile. I thanked them politely and was out of there in under 4 minutes! Fastest $100 I ever made! And I DO consider it money made, as we already had reservations for 3 nights at a full service Marriott for a family wedding this summer, so we were staying there anyway, coupon or no coupon.....P

We did it too but DH liked the look of the Ranier so I humored both him and the salesman. ;)

Has anyone reseached the Marriott Bonus Bucks?? I tryed. They are a THIRD PARTY incentive. They have many restrictions for use.
