I love all the fantasyland rides in DL but have never been on any of the "kids" rides at DCA (like the rides in bugs land). Is it weird for adults without children to go on them? Are some really only for children because of size?

We go on Fliks Flyers and the Ladybug one and Heimlichs train all the time ! We love them and they are for anyone and we are a childfree couple.

Thank you for this thread! I told my DH that I wanted to go on all the rides at DL/CA and he said that he didn't think adults went on the rides in Bugs Land and I told him he was probably wrong. I like to be right. :) Neither of us really knows what any of these rides are like (1st visit) because we have tried hard not to look at pictures so we can be surprised.

Heimlich's is my fav, especially when the scents are working! I always go with my kids, but if I was on an adults only trip I'd definitely go. The theming is so nice there.

Oh yeah - do the Bugs Land rides, but I would do it at a time when the lines are short. My family (husband and two teenagers) like to visit Bugs Land at night. The darkness makes all the faux giant foliage seem even bigger and more immersive. In our experience, the lines die down in there at night so you can skip around and walk on the rides pretty much. Heimlich's is a very short ride so it is the most fun when you haven't waited very long for it.

We enjoy Bugsland and hit it as a group once every few trips. Here is a Chew Chew train of adults (and 2 teens)...

Heimlich is a must do every trip for me, my husband and our 15 year old daughter lol...

Ha Ha........I saw that a few days ago......showed my husband but still wanted to see if it would be "weird". We are definitely going!

If I recall correctly, my tall huaband had a harder time with the bumper cars one. No problems on the others.

The rides are definitely good for adults too. No kid only rides at Disneyland like some other amusement parks. They're not thrilling, but they're all fun. I went on several of them during a trip with my mom before having any kids. Flik's is kind of like Dumbo, Lady Bug-Boogie is a smaller tea-cup ride, Chew-Chew train is just a small caterpillar shaped "train" ride that is themed, and the Buggies are bumper cars. And of course there is the show "It's tough to be a bug" if it's playing.

I'm 5'3" or 4" and I have a hard time with that ride! It's easier since I lost the weight but it's still awkward. Now that DS is about 5'6" he doesn't want to touch 'em.

I have ALWAYS loved Heimlich's ChewChew train. We first hit it back in 2006 when my daughter was just 7 months old. It became a favorite! While the other rides there are definitely in the "kid" category, this one takes on the role of the dark rides in fantasyland. It tells a story by Heimlich and captures the essense of the movie A Bug's Life. In fact, after that first trip, it was the only part of DCA that I really like. Why? Because it was themed to Disney, unlike the rest of the park. Fortunately, the rest of DCA has caught up, but back then if you wanted to feel Disney, you went to Bug's Land.

Chew Chew train is cute, but the rest are just so boring. Even my kids find them boring - although I have kids who are pretty hard-core sensory seekers. They're cute though, and the theming in Bug's Land is some of my favourite in the parks. I like that it's never crowded and they have a little splash pad for the kids to run around in.

The one I really like is the little ferris wheel with the take out food cartons for ride vehicles. Can't remember what it is called. If there is no line when I walk by I will usually hop on. Fun, and a good way to enjoy the theming of the area.

Flik's Flyers is the name and it's one of our favorites, especially at night !
