So I woke up yesterday and had about 3 bug bites on my legs near my feet. This morning I had about 4 new ones. Is there like some sort of bug, spider, SOMETHING in me bed? Has anyone had this happen before? I'm kinda scared of your responses...

Fleas? Mosquito stuck under the covers? Maybe a spider? Strip the bed! Check the mattress. Sleep on the couch.:rotfl:

:confused3 bed bugs?
Check your mattress corners.

Do a search on the DIS for bed bugs.. There is all kinds of information available - even some photos of what the bites look like..

If they are bed bugs, it doesn't mean that you are "dirty".. If anything, someone probably brought them home from someplace else..

My next guess would be sand fleas of regular fleas..

bedbugs truly aren't that uncommon, it just sounds nasty. Wash all your bedding, and steam clean your mattress if you can...

other probabilities.. fleas ?

*scritch*

Anyone else? LOL

Sorry OP. Hope you can figure it out!

I had this happen to me recently too. I had to take benadryl for a week to get the sores down:scared1:. We stripped the bed and washed the all the linens in the sanitary cycle:laundy:. Pulled our bed out vacumed the matress, boxspring and every inch of the room and no more bites. Good Luck!

It has happened to me a few times. One good tip to keep bugs away from your bed is put dryer sheets under the bed or sometimes styrofoam bowls with a little bit of liquid laundry detergent underneath the bed.

Bites in threes are spider bites....

Seriously? Do they happen in 3's. I woke up once with these bites on my arm one day and they had two prong marks in the almost like you would see from a very small snake. They were red and raised and there were quite a few of them all localized. I freaked! Is that what spider bites look like. I live in the north east and NO it was not a snake I know that but after stripping my bed etc and cleaning EVERYTHING I found nothing. Could those be ...OMG spider bites. I will be honest I really had no idea spiders could bite until a few years ago. I sat up in the chair in my den for three days because I was afraid to go to sleep. I still do not know what it was from.

I am getting drier sheets and putting them under my bed immediately.

Have you travelled lately? There is a big resurgence of bed bugs in the country.

This used to happen to me. I found out they were spider bites (because they always came in two's or three's). The best thing I did was wash my sheets and mattress cover. If that doesn't work, try taking a vacuum to your mattress!

Flea bites tend to be around the ankles and lower leg area. Even if you don't have a dog or cat, you can carry in fleas yourself from outside.

Once in the middle of the night I felt a sting on my leg and just that quick ended up falling back to sleep. The next day I pulled at the covers around on the bed and, sure enough, there was one of those whitish looking spiders in there with us. Must have dropped onto the bed from the ceiling and got mixed up in the sheets and couldn't find his way out.
