Me again......
DLP on my mind a lot today...quiet day at work!!

we bare taking our own buggy for DD who is almost 2, but not for my DD who is 4 1/2.

what are the buggies like at DLP for hire, do they have double buggies?
am thinking i may be best to use one of those in day, can put all bags and coats (hopefull wont be needing coats..!) etc on it, and DD4 can hop in it then too if legs are tired.....
or am i best to stick with our own buggy (only an old fold up lightweight buggy, nothing fancy)

i havent seen any pics of the hire strollers/buggys, if anyone could offer any advice that would be great,

thank you xx

the DLP hire buggies don't recline, and are very big compared to your fold-up-type buggy. You also can't take them between the parks and the Village/hotels etc without paying a whopping deposit (over 100 euros as I recall). I would take your own, then hopefully your youngest will be wanting to walk if your oldest needs a rest in the buggy ;). For the cost of 3 days buggy hire you could buy a new fold-up buggy!

i agree with DLPdaft,
its about 9E a day for buggy hire i think.

Yeah I wouldnt bother renting one either. The buggies you can hire arent great and dont offer anything in the way of storage. I paid a €70 deposit to rent for 3 days in 2010.

oooh - good question mickeymumma. I'm wondering whether to bring my phil & ted double for my girls (3&4) or just my maclaren single buggie. I'm assuming you leave your buggie at each ride when you go on, is it safe? I don't care too much about my maclaren getting stolen, not sure anyone would want it its so battered, but would be devastated if my p&t was...... :confused3

Just got in from work so trying to be quick Iam a mother of 5 youngest twin boys 3,we have been to DLP 8 times !We have a garage that looks like a branch of mother care not to brag i no a bit about buggys much to Dh despair and cost,if you have one take your phil and teds, with a bike lock(i have spoken to poeple who have had buggys stolen)my mother care urban detour dubble does't go thow the studois gate ways and most dubbles or any Ive seen don't go tho any of the hotel door ways a nightmare if you have to wake them up THE HIRE ONE ARE AWFULL please take your own any question please please ask no matter how small please excuse my spelling.xx

brilliant,
thank you for all the advice,

i dont have a double buggy as eldest DD is 5 in october and usually walks about quite well,
wondering now if i should try to borrow a double mclaren off of my friend and take a bike lock.....

didnt realise the buggies at DLP were so awful!! thanks xx

i took a photo this week of one, but havent unpacked my stuff yet. They look strudy enough, but dont recline, and also it is now 150 euro's desposit if you want to take it out the park. For the price you pay for rentail, you can easily buy the £20 cheappy one from argos, think its red, and then you know that you can take it anywhere. My almost 2 year old can walk for miles if i let him, but the crowds and the amount of walking that you actully do, its unreal, so best with a pushchair for your middle, and as you say, your 2 older ones can take turns sitting in it. This week when we were there, i seen kids age 6 at least, in prams, look like old battered up prams, but its a good idea, and quicker way to get around with tired little legs. Even my legs were tired by lunch time.

Bike lock! Good idea. It had crossed my mind and I thought I might get some odd looks. Also read somewhere about taking your wheel off if it slips off easily (which mines does) although not too sure about lugging a wheel about on the rides..... Thanks for the advice
