transportation...

Staying offsite.
No One drives (so no rental option).
Hotel does have fairly regular "shuttle to WDW" (apparently running every 2 hours or so from 8:05am.

But I still don't understand how to get to point A to point B the quickest and easiest.

Buena Vista Suites shuttle starts at 8:05am and runs roughly every 2 hours. It will drop off at any of the 4 main parks.

I am trying to figure out how to get from:

Day 1: Downtown Disney
Day 2: Disney MGM Studios ( I guess shuttle would drop us there....but I am still not clear on if it stops elsewhere along the way or what.)
Day 3: Typhoon Lagoon then from TL to Epcot in PM (around 3pm)
Day 4: Magic Kingdom (again I guess shuttle but same issue)
Day 5: Blizzard Beach and then to either Epcot or DTD in PM (around 3pm)
Day 6: MK again...:)
Day 7: Animal Kingdom in AM then either MK, EP, or DTD in PM (around 3:30)

I want to use as little time travelling as possible and I realize that though the hotel isn't far away but There are time issues with the shuttle running every 2 hours only. I have a feeling we will be spending much more on Taxi's at this rate then we would have Liked....

I tell ya if "I" was planning AND paying for this trip we'd be staying Onsite...seems so much simpler...Next time...Definately next time. :guilty:

No worries... years ago I went to WDW w ith a boyfriend, neither of us were 25 so we couldn't rent a car. We stayed offisite at a hotel with shuttles and we managed. It makes you plan more, you don't want to miss a bus. But you'll be fine. If the buses at your hotel don't go directly to a particular place, like Blizzard Beach or DOwntown DIsney, then just take a bus to any park and you'll be able to catch a bus from there there. Or, you can always take a cab if you're in a rush.

Don't worry, the weather will be awesome and hopefully the easter crowds have gone home... you'll have a great time, wish I was in your shoes, I"m stuck in NJ!!

sounds like your best bet will be taxiing it home in the evening, and shuttling it to wdw in the morning...it doesn't seem like every couple of hours for a shuttle is that regular though.

Hello!

Actually it sounds as if you will be using mostly Disney transportation during the day in any case.

The Buena Vista Suites is in the LBV area, right? If you want to make it to the parks by opening I would take the earliest shuttle. I think you can travel directly between all the theme parks, and I think also directly from a theme park to DTD. The only wrinkle is TL. I think the DTD bus also goes to TL in some cases, or you may have to go to a resort first, then catch a bus to TL. Hopefully someone will come along and correct me.

I think that most of the resort buses will head to TL after they leave DTD as long as TL is open. I know the OKW bus does. Maybe also POFQ and POR?

For the four main parks, you're covered.
For the water parks, look at the map to find which main park is closest to the water parks. I *think* AK is closest to BB... in that case, consider taking shuttle to AK. Then transferring to a bus to the water parks. If you can swing it though, take a taxi from Buena Vista.

I was under the impression that DTD busses don't go to/from any of the parks, only the resorts. I could be wrong. But if you find this to be true, I'd just hop a bus to either of the Port Orleans, Old Key West or Saratoga Springs hotels. Those are the closest on-site hotels to DTD. I believe you can even walk from Saratoga Springs to DTD.

To go from theme park to theme park, there is a bus available at each theme park directly to the other ones, so no worries there. Also, there is a boat from Studios to Epcot for something different.

Don't be afraid to ask the CM's either in the parks or driving the buses if you're confused.

You can also ask CM's to help you get a taxi home if need be.
