We leave next week for the Fort! Believe it or not, I didn't even think of this until it warmed up here in OH and started seeing some bugs. Do any of you "fog" your site or spray for bugs on your site? Is this even allowed? Remember--I'm totally new to this thing called "tent camping"! My DH can be a real pain to be around when it's overly buggy and if I can avoid some of his slapping the air constantly...well, you get the picture. ("So why are you camping?" you may ask! "Because I want to!") ;) Oh, and yes, I will be bringing OFF...just didn't know about spraying the air.

I have never had enough trouble that we fogged. But a little bug juice applied in the evenings can make things more pleasant for sure!

THANKS! I didn't want to have to worry about fogging! Bug spray is all I'll bring!

What is all this about flogging bugs? Seems a bit archaic to me. Oh. FOGGING, not FLOGGING. Sorry.

By the way, the trading post has bug spray if you forget yours. Just bring lots of money. Visa/MC accepted.

I bet if mosquitoes ever bit you, though, they'd die of alcohol poisoning from kungaloosh!

We really suffered a couple of ago at the Fort. Bring lots! Especially if you have little ones that leave doors open, or tent flies unzipped!

They do spray early in the morning for bugs. We haven't really had much problem when we have been there.

pfft...Like Jims gonna share his recycled alcohol with a bunch'a skeeters!!!

I'll bring my bug spray, inform the family to KEEP THE TENT ZIPPED, and if that doesn't work, I'll just have to find some of the kungaloosh everyone's talking about. Don't drink much so it shouldn't take much to numb the effects of the mosquito bites! :thumbsup2

Alcohol is to be shared with friends and some family only, no bugs allowed.

Kungaloosh may actually be an attractant. Muddy water would be a better choice. As I recall, the boys who drank this regularly had no issues with the bugs in Nicaragua, or at least they didn't care about them much after they had a few.

Somehow missed that garden spot -- had muddy water in lots of places though. Good laxative!
