Bug Spray

How important is it to bring bug spray? Are the bugs really that bad if we don't bring it? or is it something we could easily pick up if we really need it?

BRING IT!! it doesn't take much space esp. if you get the towelettes! It is easy to come by in the parks, but it is more expensive

Better to be safe than sorry. I got a little spray can that has a hook on it so I can hook it to my day bag just in case.

JMO, but I didn't pack it last trip and wished I'd had it on the boat to DTD.

Never needed bug spray at disney in more than 20 visits that includes all 4 seasons that we have been there.

We just got back this week and I brought a mini spray but never needed it. We were at the GF and came back from MK by boat one day and son and father and myself went out on the searaycers.. didn't need it either. I think Disney has their own abatement program going on that we don't see because we never had any bug problems. But if you want to, through a couple of the wipes in your bag, it doesn't hurt. Enjoy and have a blast!

We are overrun with Mosquitos here in KC, and I was out just last night talking with the neighbors, and I always get eaten alive, but I just counted 25 bites on me from 45 minutes without spray. Kind of normal for me.. not having 25 because usually I get the bug spray by bite number five or so.

My point is that I am nector to these darned bugs, always have been. They are drawn to me.

It is strange to me, the goddess of the squito world, but I have not gotten one bug bite in all my years going to WDW. I don't even pack bug spray anymore. I guess Florida bugs are picky!

I have been to WDW over 35 times in every season and outside of an occasional fly eating a hot dog at caseys on Main street, I have never been pestered by bugs at Disney. Must be part of the magic
