Buffets

Interesting, all of these different opinions. I focus primarily on salads when I eat at a buffet restaurant so they're all pretty much the same to me. Boma is a very notable exception and I like CP for breakfast because the restaurant is pretty and the characters are cool. Cape May is good but I'm not sure if it's so much better than some others.

Plus they're expensive! I would hope that they're a lot better than Golden Corral considering the price.

Ryans with characters :rotfl:

and yes we will have our 5 year old with us. im going to keep them, but may drop CP just because i would rather have real food than breakfast food. At home on any given day breakfast like that would be great and would love to try the breakfast lazagna but we will be eating breakfast out everyday on vacation. Am keeping Chef Mickey just for the characters but know the food isnt going to be wow or anything special.

So for buffets we will have Boma, Biergarten, and Chef Mickey. So excited cant wait to try everything!!!!

we do the buffets for the characters... that being said, I will only go for breakfast

The dinner buffets are not worth the $$, food is average at best.

After trying Cape May over our last vacation in July, I decided I just do not like dinner buffets anywhere, including Disney. I hate the lines and do not think the food compares to the other TS locations. BUT breakfast buffets I do enjoy. Boma is fantastic for breakfast. We have to eat there at least once each trip.

Ditto! Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace were NOT good for dinner, the macaroni and cheese for the kids was gross, I mean how can you screw up mac and cheese? I am not a picky eater either. The problem is, the character interaction and picture are worth it, so I would go back, just not every trip. This time we are doing Boma for dinner, and Chef Mickey's for breakfast.

The only Buffet we are doing this trip is the Cape May Cafe. I was hoping to hear a more positive review, since we have never been there, but I have heard some good things from friends who have attended. I have done all the others, except Boma as I am not that adventurous, and with the exception of Hollywood and Vine and Biergarten, they were all pretty good. The Biergarten's atmosphere was awesome, but the food was not good, to say the least, and Hollywood and Vine is like a bad hospital cafeteria at best.

We find the Cape May Cafe dinner awesome! :) We've dined there several times over the years and enjoyed it every time.

We did the Biergarten once and liked it. The food offerings are fairly unique--not like anywhere we can eat at home

We even like Chef Mickey's. :)

The only buffets we didn't enjoy at Disney were Boma for dinner--thought all the food had weird, sweet spices--and 1900 Park Fare dinner--had an awful experience there, only things good were salad and dessert.
