I am sure this has been asked before but I tried to search and wasn't sure how to word it and couldn't find my answer.

If my son is a free two year old and we go to a buffet, do I need to make a point of telling the server that he is free so we don't get charged a dining credit for him? He doesn't LOOK under 3 (in fact, he actually turns 3 while we are there but is obviously considered free for buffets the whole week) so I am thinking I will have to make sure they know. Is this correct?

It never hurts to be explicit. Mention that your child is under 3, and your KTTW cards will "confirm" this by listing only 2A on the plan.

Disney's generally pretty good about taking you at your word on children's ages.

If your child pipes up that he's three, just mention that his birthday is during the trip (and that it's a birthday trip for him) and not only will he still be free, but he'll also probably get a special cupcake! :wizard:

DD was just a month shy of 3 on our last visit. I never mentioned it to the servers at the buffets, and I didn't have any problems...

My DS is 2 so we didn't have the dining plan for him...however when we were at CRT they said they would bring him complimentary butter noodles (However, we had and awful, I don't care, your my last customer before I leave this place, waitress) and the noodles never appeared. He was fine eating of mine and his sister plates and we so rarely saw our server and the meal was almost done by the time I could of asked her....but anyway, it does show that at TS they seem to offer the kids something. At garden grill we could ask for more so no prob there and at buffets of course no prob there. At CS I just got him a side item if I didn't think what we had was enough...and of course I brought 'his' snacks to the park.

My son was 13 months last trip and is just 2 for this one so the buffets are a great way to keep him fed! I would mention it if he doesnt look under 3 just so they know.
