I will be traveling alone with three little ones, any tips on how to work the buffet line (kids will be 4, 3 and 7 months). Will CM watch baby if I help the older ones? I'm guessing no strollers in the restaurants. Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks!

I don't think there will be a CM available to watch the baby or anything. Honestly, by yourself with three kids that age, I'd definately just skip the buffets. I don't think they're going to work out in your situation. If it's character meals your interested, I'd suggest picking one of the family style places (Ohana, Garden Grill, etc.) so that you don't have to deal with the buffet line. I don't want to be negative or anything. I just can't imagine juggling three very small children (especially when one is a baby) by myself at a buffet!

I would skip the buffets as well.

While I have found CMs to be very accomodating, they are also very busy at the buffets seating guests, bringing drinks and checks, etc. I am not sure one would be around when you needed them, and if they were, that they would be able to wait at the table with your child.

Stick with counter service and sitdown restuarants where the servers bring the food to you. It will be much less stressful.

I'm not sure about Disney but at most businesses staff is not "allowed" to watch children for liability reasons. I guess if you had to I would leave the 7 year old with the baby -if it was strapped into a high chair- while you took 3 yr old thru this after carrying baby while 7 yr old picked there food and 3yr. tagged along. To much work for me I would skip them.

Maybe buy a sling and "wear' the baby while going through the lines at the buffet. That is one way to do it..or just stick to family type dinners like the pp's suggested. Good Luck!

Hi. Thanks. I have a snugli type thing I can use. We went to a buffet last night, but I had help. It made me realize how tough it could be -- the only thing is most of the charactor meals are buffets -- as long as we don't go back in line multiple times I hope we will be okay LOL :wizard:

I have not learned how to get my dd3 and myself food in a buffet yet. I can't imagine doing with 3 kids. I agree pick meals with pre-plated food.
