Buffets and Cold Food

Is it the norm in the world to get cold food at the buffets?

We have Chef Mickey's at 7:05 AM, so hopefully things will be fresh and hot (fingers crossed for this since it typically gets poor reviews).

Tusker House at 9:55 AM. I'm particularly worried about this one since it's so close to the end of breakfast. If I ask, will they replenish things on the buffet line (either because it's empty or because it's cold)?

Thanks!

We always do late ADRs and the food is hot and fresh, as if they were just opening for the day.

We had an 10:25am breakfast ADR at Tusker House last year and the food was very fresh. The hot food was hot (waffles, etc.) and the cold food was cold (fruit, yogurt, etc.). The food, service & character interaction were all wonderful! You would have never known that we arrived 5 minutes before they "closed".

Never had cold foods at the buffets but have had very dried out foods

No cold food for us either. Several times I have seen a CM checking the temp of the dishes to make sure they are hot enough and once someone pulled a nearly full item right after checking it, so most likely due to the temp.

we had tusker house for a later reservation for breakfast and the food was replenished and very hot......there was not a problem that way....
We enjoyed going to that meal almost as much as Chef Mickeys......
I dont think you will be disappointed
