Hi all,

I have yet another question for everyone.

We are planning a custom with about 150 people for Spring of 08 in the American Adventure Rotunda. We are having some trouble deciding on what type of menu service we want to have.

We really like the buffet action stations that we have seen, especially the "Cinderella's Glass Slipper" Buffet package. Which has the seafood station, the carving station, and the martini (potatoes) action station. We would tweak it to have different things, but I love the idea of having all the variety, and it all sounds so yummy. Any one had this particular package? How was it??

My concern is that people will be waiting in a long line to get their food and people will be eating in different shifts and some people will be going back for seconds before some even get their firsts.

I am sure Disney has figured out some way to do this well, but I'd love to hear some first hand experiences!!

Thanks all and Happy Holidays!!!

Has anyone had a buffet with this many people and if so has it worked out okay? Were people waiting a really long time?

I believe they have a system where they excuse a certain number of tables at a time to go to the buffet, that way there isn't a long line. :) My buffet wasn't a Disney one, but they did the same thing, and there wasn't a line, nor was anyone aware that another group had been excused to go get food...everyone was just talking and having a good time.

Moonpie is right. You have a lead server that goes around to the tables to make sure that the line is not too long and that everyone gets service. One thing that I have seen for Epcot receptions that are awesome, is that they have themed it around the different countries of the world. Epcot events are fabulous people and I really enjoyed working with them with our wedding and reception.

Thanks so much Moonpie and Jonette! I feel much better now that people won't be waiting forever saying, "WHEN IS IT MY TURN?!" Helps me relax a bit! Also, do you know if they keep replenishing the food through the buffet? I mean, a lot of people going through a buffet take a lot of food, so do they replenish it by the time the last table goes through the lines, or do they just get slim pickings??? Thanks girls!!

It's there job to replenish the buffet, and especially on your wedding day you shouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff. Just relax, everything will turn out beautifully. :) All the little details will work themselves out.
