Should you tip your servers (whomever you get), when you eat at the breakfast buffets? They still get you drinks, clear plates etc...so isn't a tip deserved?
These are the same servers who are tipped at dinner (they take a rotation in the buffet, the ice cream bar, etc.) Thus, they are tipped at dinner. I'm sure they wouldn't turn down a tip, but it is not normally done. Ditto, if you eat breakfast or lunch in the sit down restaurants, you don't normally tip at those times. Again, these servers receive tips on the last night from their "assigned" tables. That said, if you do receive exceptional service, a tip will not be refused (like kid making a gigantic mess or whatever....)
The only "common" tips are the last night for the server, head server, asst, and room steward and a small tip for room service.
DCL is really great in that it is not a place where everyone has his/her hand out expecting a tip. The only expected tips are the last night ones, and baggage handlers (who are not DCL employees).
The breakfast buffet at Topsiders is self-serve, cafeteria style. There is a chance you will see your dinner servers working there at some point during the week.
How you would tip the others workers there would be awkward??
