Buffet for Kids on DDP

This may be a strange question, but my DS9 NEVER wanted to do the kids buffet options at CP and CM -- he always took food from the adult dishes. Is this a problem for the DDP "kids must eat from the kids menu" rule? No one ever said anything to us when we paid for our meals...He still paid kids price even though he was obviously eating adult food. Honestly, much as I love and adore Disney, their kids buffet choices are pretty poor...Unlike the adult ones.

He can eat whatever he wants and DH can have kid's mac and cheese, no restrictions on what you eat after you pay at buffet.
