For 2 days during our trip we won't have dining. I want to do a less expensive buffet for dinner..what is a good choice and why? looking for the cheaper ones. I prefer no characters but am not toally opposed if the price is right and the food good. So make a suggestion anywhere on Disney property We will be at CSR during those 2 days. I prefer basic American type food usually..meat and potato type gal. I did like Boma's but hubby didn't..that was a HUGE surprise

Aim for Crystal Palace. It's the best of the less expensive options, IMHO, though still in the low $20s per person.

Trails End at Fort Wilderness is a good buffet...probably the
cheapest on property...

Then maybe Hollywood n vine...MGM...
Of those 2...I'd pick FW...You can take a boat there from MK.

I'd suggest the Crystal Palace. My sister and I did it in Feb. and even with the characters and crowd, it was not overwhelming for adults as far as I was concerned. "Quiet chaos", you could call it!
But I have heard that Trails End is good value for the money.

Crystal Palace or Chef Mickeys..I believe they are the same price. Great food too!

Trail's End is the best kept secret on WDW property.:thumbsup2 It is a wonderful All-American Fare style buffet. They have ribs, fried chicken, peel & eat shrimp, corn bread, biscuits & gravy, etc. All of which are wonderful. FYI, I have heard that WCC gets there ribs from Trails End, also HDDR shares a kitchen with Trails End so you get the same melt in your mouth fried chicken at both places.

If you do not do dinner here, keep it in mind for a breakfast buffet also. Wonderful breakfast pizza!:woohoo: Both the dinner and breakfast buffet are great bargains!

Cape May buffet at the Beach Club is great - reasonably priced and American food. Just one Oreo bon-bon is well worth the price of dinner! LOL!
