Buffalo Trading Co closing for the last time tonight (Pic link added)

Like Disney.:confused3

or like McDonalds, but then I've never eaten at McDonalds at Disney, why would I when I've got one 10 miles down the road from home and I might see "Disney" in the High Street but not Disneyland.
When I go on holiday it's to experience something I wouldn't do/have at home, be it at DLP or anywhere else.

Actually that argument now falls flat on it's face as going into Starbucks would be a new experience for me :rotfl2: Oh well I know what I mean.:) :)

Oh no, on 3 counts......

1) I love Buffalo Trading

2) I hate coffee

3) I hate Starbucks as a company.........http://www.snopes.com/rumors/starbucks.asp

Interesting....my husband worked for Starbucks in their maintenance division-all I can say is that he walked out (with my blessing) and I would never set foot in one of their shops  But that's just my opinion of course, know lots of people like their coffee :coffee:

It is true that Disney is a big, global corporation in it's own right, but for some reason the parks just don't seem like that to me - they're more a place where you can forget the real world for your time there to me due to the high level of theming employed there.

I also appreciate that there are a couple of big american chains already installed (Rainforest Cafe and Planet Hollywood in particular). These places, (in my opinion), however, also manage to continue the theming very well.

If starbucks (and indeed Mcdonalds) are/were themed in a way that they don't stick out like a sore thumb and look like a standard high street branch, then I have no problems with them.

Hope that makes sense :goodvibes

makes sense to me what u said....
i like the fact when at disney u can believe ur in another world, and its all fantasy..... i try to ignore mcdonals, but as its set back i can 'miss it', but not sure a starbucks will be missable....

plus the fact i dont like coffee and have never been in one - but i do like shopping and am unhappy that i have less shops to go in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I love starbucks!! Never been to the other place but a nice coffee when leaving the parks sounds good

Its a shame this shop has closed as it was one place that often seemed to have slightly different things for sale.

I like Starbucks and other similar coffee shops but thats not what i go to DLP for.

As already mentioned I dont want to go there and it just be like any other high street - I like the magic that the theming provides

:artist: I know now where hubby will be spending most of his days. Not sure it is a good thing for that. However, I am very fond of a large latte.

Used to like this store though, as you all say, different things were sold. Loved the cowboy theme.

We always go in a summer so to sit outside and people watch would be nice, although this is a rare treat at the starbucks in our town so it would be ''eek how much for a coffee and a muffin''

I feel that the Disney Village has no theming anyway, nothing fits together. The Disney shops all look like normal shops you would find on the high street and the restaurants themes clash together. If they were sticking a Starbucks in frontierland or Main Street then I would agree with you.:)

I was gutted when I first heard about this last year and now it has finally closed it's really disappointing. The place had real character and was different to the rest of ithe Disney Village. Having a multinational chain coffee shop in its place is absolute garbage - first McDonalds and now Starbucks, if I want a standard High St I'll stay in the UK - probably be a mobile phone shop there soon too :(
