Just read on DLRP today that tonight is the last night for the store and it will reopen as Starbucks in April.

Can't decide whether I think this is a good thing or not. :confused3

me too :rotfl2: Mind you Satrbucks are expensive anyway so I wonder what the euro prices will be :crazy2:

I think its a shame - starbucks isn't disney villagey at all. :(

I wish they would scrap the village and start again.

I agree, it could do with a bit of a makeover. Don't know what mind! Although i have to say it has improved slightly since we first went in 2002.

I liked this shop, so will be sad to see it go. Not fussed about Starbucks as I usually order hot chocolate in there but I can get that anywhere in Disney 7 its tastes lovely.

I really hope they go through with the Chinese restaurant plan though.

WHAT?!! We love Buffalo Trading!!!

Personally I think this is a huge shame.

I've never been into the Buffalo Trading Co store, but I still think it's a shame to lose a nicely themed shop and have it replaced with another generic corporate chain - especially a coffee shop which you can generally find several of (whether starbucks, neros, costa or anything else along those lines) in almost every town you go to anyway.

I'm sure I'm right in thinking we've gone into the store from/after the Buffalo Bill show and fired up with enthusiasm from the show it's where the kids have bought their guns from. So although it's probably the same merchandise that's sold in Frontierland, I would've thought they picked up quite a bit of trade after the shows. :confused3
Personally if it had to go I would've preferred a nice Italian restaurant.
I have never had or been into a Starbucks, but tend to agree with ukstitch, it's the corporate identity found in nearly every High Street (not mine) that puts me off.

I agree I think the village very ugly - I am a big fan of Frank Gehry but he should be ashamed of the village!

Chinese :goodvibes I never knew about this, tell me more!!

When they were financially restructuring a couple of years back, part of it meant 4 new rides for 07/08 & then work on the village in 2009 with plans of having a ESPN bar in place the sports bar & a chinese restaurant. We got the 4 new rides, so hopefully the Village will gets its turn now:thumbsup2

thats such a shame! i really liked looking round buffalo trading and got an awesome bear footprint belt buckle from there last year, i'm sad to see it go. They could have replaced it with something a bit more disneyish than starbucks!!!

Hmmm...a bit mixed from me to be honest.

I don't really like Coffee but I LOVE White Cholcolate Mocha's from Starbucks..so it kinda gets my vote that way....but I love the store and would rather have that there instead.

I always thought a Starbucks would go well inside the lobby of the Hotel New York...guess they wouldn't get as much trade there though!

Like Disney.:confused3

I think its good, love starbucks.

I'm glad I went in to have a look round in December (I had never been in there before then). I think it'd be nice to have a Starbucks there but perhaps it should be placed somewhere next to McD's or something. Then it might not look so out of place in the village lol.
