Buffalo Hotels?

Our fav is Homewood Suites. It's a bit more pricy, but get more room, free internet (on some days free dinner) and a great free breakfast everyday.

The pool and whirlpool is also nice, and we like the free shuttle. They will take you to the mall, to dinner and of course to the airport. Plus there park n fly lasts 2 weeks. (which is how long are usual vacations are)

Plus they have amazing customer service. We had an issue one visit with a very rude front desk staff. I left a message for the GM of the hotel and when i returned they had half comped my night in question and the night I returned (so one night free, spread over my 2 stays) It was unexpected and very nice considering I only had complained as an FYI. It in no way affected my stay.

But don't let that one story affect your decision. I've stayed there over 30 times in the past 3 years and that was the only thing that ever happened.

We are staying at Best Western as they were the cheapest I could find when I was calling around. Plus I ordered a BW card through Airmiles (which arrived in less than a week - so impressed here) so I save myself a bit of money, leaving me more to spend at Disney World:lmao:

I've stayed at the best western and it was fine. Not fancy but acceptable. It was one of the cheapest. It is really close to the airport and they have a good range of food in their breakfast bar (which is included). This year I'm staying at the millenium. It's a bit farther, a bit pricier and a bit fancier. Breakfast is not included. However, it is accross from the olive garden and krispy kreme so I'll be too stuffed to eat breakfast!

We will going Oct 9 so cann't tell you about the hotel. We are staying at the Sleep Inn & Suites (100 Holtz Dr). We have Park N' Fly for 1 night and parking for 5 days for $109 + taxes. What I like about it the breakfast starts at 4:30am with shuttle to airport.

I got that same rate for Sept, but I am not sure that I want to stay there because there is no pool. THen again we may not make time for the pool, I don't know what I am going to do! :confused3 This sort of thing stresses me out :headache: Last time we booked a sleep and fly out of detroit we had a bad experience  Hopefully this works out much better! I hope you guys have a nice trip!

And thanks to everyone else for their responses, I am looking into all the different hotels.... :)

I was really looking into the Sleep Inn - I'm glad I wandered over here! I think you just made up my mind!

I just booked the Sleep Inn for Sept too. I have 4 kiddos though so I either needed two rooms or a suite somewhere. So I have a suite booked for $129 plus tax (park and fly) We have an early morning flight or we would have just driven and parked at the airport.

Make sure that you complain if your room is not acceptable at The Millenium. The last time we stayed there was our "LAST STAY THERE". (April 2007)

DH and I stayed at the Millenium last October for two nights (just a kid free shop/chill trip) At the time I got it for $35 a night on Priceline. They were undergoing renos apparently. Our room was fine....the bathroom looked like it needed work but for the price and location it was great.

We're staying at the Sleep Inn for the first time next Thursday before flying to New York City. We also have it booked before our September trip to Disney so next week will be a reconnaissance mission of sorts.

I'll report on the good, the bad but hopefully not the ugly on our return.

Hi, we stayed last Thursday night. We stay there quite often thru out the year before our flights and shopping on US Thanksgiving.
We are staying at the Sleep INN, Amherst next week. They don't offer a shuttle to the airport, but they do have a pool. It is a good place if you just want to shop, Boulevard mall is not far from there.

We always stay at Sleep Inn. We are only there for the park and fly, we usually arrive in Buffalo in the afternoon but hit the Walden Galleria for some shopping, then Dennys....yup...it is tradition, DD loves it. Then we check in pretty much in time to go to bed so not worried about pool etc.

We have stayed there probably 6 or 7 times in the last few years, always clean, staff is so nice, breaky is good and starts early. Never had to wait to long for shuttles at the airport.

have a great trip!!!!

We stayed at the Sleep Inn this past Thursday before flying to New York and it was great. The room was nothing special but it was quiet and clean. The breakfast is complimentary and has the usual cereals, muffins, bagels, toast, fruit etc but you could also make your own waffles and add lots of toppings.

The location is not too far from lots of shopping and the airport is across the street.

Buffalo airport was great!!

Yeah! Good to know! Does anyone know how the shuttle works with kids and carseats?

Our flight out of BUF in September is at 6:15 am so no early breakfast for us. But where exactly is the Denny's? My kids have never eaten there and I think it will be fun to have dinner there when we arrive the night before.

I was wondering about the car seats too??? Curious to know as this is something that concerns me....
It's a large size van. They can be put in to be used to drive to the airport.
