Hi my mum really wants to go see this, I think it would be too much for my young children. Thing is, she has severe allergies, and would not be able to eat there..at all. Is there not a way to go and pay less for the ticket with no meal? As £50 ish pounds for a show is a little STEAP! But she wants to see it? any ideas~??

Hmmmm, how old are your little ones? My 3 and 5 yo loved it last month. As for allergies, does your mum suffer from any breathing or animal allergies? If so, she probably should not go.

the prices are only for diners, but it is very good value for an awesome quality show, a three course meal with beer and wine, and a cowboy hat to take home. They do have different menues, so if your mum's food allergies were the only concern, you could talk to the Disney dieticians in advance and they could serve something suitable for her.

I am very biased though as I have been about 12 times and still can't get enough.

We went in January and it was good but I think you have to pay the same price as everyone else.
It is quite dusty in there so it might not be good for your mum anyway???
My husband loved it and he has asthma, he was fine. The food isn't anything to write home about, its ok, its quite dark in it too so seeing what you are eating is quite hard but do-able. I wouldn't really want to go back again but my husband would every night if he could!!
We went with our pair of terrors they were 2 and 7 at the time and near the end they were both bored out of their skulls, it goes on quite long.

Overall I would phone up and see if your mum can get a different menu and take it from there, I'm glad I did it just for the experience and yes I suppose it is worth the money, I'm just glad we went when kids were free!:rotfl:

My wee fella loved banging his fork and plate off the table, he kept looking at me as if I was going to put him on time out!haha! Once he got going though there was no stopping him;)

We love it - all of us, DW, DS (5) and DD (3). 90 mins is not long at all, and personally I am always wanting more. Encore!!!! Shows different strokes. But to me I find the rubberheads a waste of time, and some people go to Disney mainly with those in mind. Shows there is something for everyone.

When you think they charge £14 for the hats in Frontierland, a good west end quality show is between £25-80, a cheap three course meal is at least £15, and beers and cokes are about £3 at DLP (and you get 3 during the show plus coffee), I really think BBWWS is a bargain.

And to me, it is quite honestly my favorite thing in all of DLP.

I absolutly love Buffalo Bills!

It seriously is the best show I have ever seen...at any Disney theme park...ever.

We went to Buffalo Bills in the States (about 15 years ago) and it was rubbish compared to DLRP.

I'd go every single night if I could! I seriously can't get enough of it and personally think that 90 minutes is too short for it.

The big difference is you went to Wild Bill's in the States (not Buffalo Bill's), which is subpar. Wild Bill's is not a Disney production, BBWWS is.

But yep, we have seen:

California
Wild Bill's (poor)
Medieval Times (ok)
Pirate Adventure (ok)

Fla
Arabian Nights (poor)
Wild Bill's (poor)
Dixie Stampede (good)

DLP
Buffalo Bill's WWS (awesome!!!!!)

Mallorca
Pirates - ok

Paris - Moulin Rouge (nice)

and many real shows in the West End, Broadway and the ilk. I love BBWWS!

Was it? I would have been about 10-12 at the time we went so they probably would have seemed the same name to me then. We also went to King Henry's Feast (poor), Pirates Something or Other (really good) and and Al Capones one (amazing)

At the risk of getting told off for going off topic (I'm a rebel) - how would you rate BBWWS vs Al Capone?

Its just not my thing sorry, my husband and mum on the other hand...crazy for it! I prefer the lion king show (as far as shows go)..seen that goodness knows how many times, the kids also preffered that, mind you it was alot shorter.

I have been told by Paul though that if I want a character meal in Jan I need to book BB too! Its trying to keep my 3 year old under control though!;) With all the banging and shouting he gets carried away!:lmao:

By the way what the eck if rubberheads?:rotfl: I'm guessing characters but then I'm probably showing how stupid I am!!

yes just a food allergy thing...and no way around it, couldnt eat at a restaurant fullstop, very resricted diet. But yes suppose she can have a drink and a hat out of it! dust wont be a problem.
my little ones qill be nearly 5 and 1. But it would be too long, and my eldsest isnt good in loud environments really.. he might enjoy it.. i am sure i could make it fun, but not worth risking that money to have to leave after ten mins! haha

You are right. It sounds like we are very different. for me, I could care less if we ever see a character again (ok, maybe OTT as I would like to see Jack and Sally), But as a lifelong Disney park fan, I remember when the characters were a very small part of the experience, and I really miss those days.

I don't pay money to see a spotty teen in a costume, I pay for the entertainment, attractions, attention to detail and theming and cleanliness. I wouldn't care if all of the characters (walkaround or ride tie ins) were sucked up into a black hole as they were never important to me.

But I appreciate they are a large attraction to others. But the fact a meal at auberge is the same price as BBWWS beggers belief as I feel it is the Auberge that is the rip off.

LK show is ok, but again, I'd rather watch Tarzan or Moteurs Action.

I personally thought that Al Capone's was brilliant.

Started off by being given a password when you booked. You then had to do the 'secret knock' on the door and give the password to the 'eyes' that appear before being let in (I remember moaning because the family infront refused to play along with it all :confused3 )

The tables were set out around a central stage, where the show was to take place. It was a very interactive show with CM's coming out among the tables (Al Capone his behind my chair while being chased by the police/other gangsters) I also remember one of the CM's making a comment that my Mum's dress looked like a shower curtain (something we still make fun of today!!)

I'm sorry but I can't remember what the food was like to be honest but something in my brain says that it was a buffet, set up at the side of the room???? but this seems a bit odd.

I'd definatly recommend it to anyone, I just hope that it's as good now as it was back then

Hmmmm, it can be very load with gun fights and lightening, so I do think a 1 yo is too young (but some people were doing it). What if she went on her own?

As for allergies, Disney can cater for allergies in all the restaurants if you call them in advance, they have a dietician who can help sort everything out.

Yes, she is fine to go on her own.
again.. food thing is not a possibility at all. But she has had 30 years of being used to sitting around other people eating, she wont mind. she can have some ice cream. haha

so what would be best way of booking this, as you are charged more at door arnt you... and i have already paid for holiday direct through dinsey?? any suggestions?

You can call Disney and have it added on to your package or you can order the tickets on-line through the Disney website to get your discount.
