We are interested in going to Buffalo Bills this time but I've read in a brochure that because of the dust created it's not suitable for asthmatics and small children. Well none of us have asthma but my son will be almost 3 when we go, is this going to be a problem for him or do they just say it to cover themselves? Have any of you taken small children and did they enjoy it?

Thanks

Tracy x

Our DD is asthmatic and had no problems. DP on the otherhand suffered because of the horses so next time would take antihistamine.

Other DD was barely 2 and enjoyed it very much :goodvibes

Something I've been wondering about Buffalo Bills....

I'm assuming the entire show is spoken in French?

I'm trying to learn a little French, but basically our party only speaks English.

Would we still enjoy the show?

My son has asthma and he was fine, even when we were seated in the front row, which I thought might cause a problem. My youngest was 5 the first time and loved it. :)

The show is in English and French, and it might be translated into other European languages too, I had to think about that actually, so obviously it doesn't detract from the performance at all, there's not an awful lot of speech in it really, it's all very visual and very good fun.:goodvibes

I'd thought that too. The rodeo clowns are all about getting the crowds involved :)

Thanks for the warning! We've pre-booked this show. So I'll add my antihistamine to the list for packing :thumbsup2

I'm also asthmatic but it didn't affect me at all. The show is a mixture of French and English - it's usually pretty clear one way or another what is going on. I would certainly go again for the show although the food is fairly dire!

Worth it just for the buffalo alone I thought!

Really? We went in August 2002 and had fairly low expectations of the whole thing to be honest - we didn't think it was our cup of tea. How wrong we were! We had an absolutely fantastic time, and we thought the food was excellent. Not a gourmet meal, but just right for scoffing while watching the show!

We wnt in November 05. DD was 5 then and she really enjoyed the show and the food, DW is asthmatic, but didn't suffer from the dust, but she did have a reaction to the horses, or maybe it was the THREE bottles of wine?! Overall the show is really good for ALL ages and the clowns are fantastic...but beware of the deadly wine!! Hahaha

Buffalo Bills was fantastic all three times I've been.

In my opionion they have the best Chilli (and I'm not a chilli fan) It's mostly English, but there is some French - it is the host country. They try to recreate it as the original show so don't worry about the language barrier - I don't think many cowboys were bi-lingual. It's great to be able to get so involved, my DBF and I keep bending our spoons when we bang them on the table. Your encouraged to participate so much that you often forget they're feeding you too. You'll have tons of fun and the kids will love being able to be so noisey and seeing the horses, cows and buffalo.

Wish I were going . . . .

I havwe to agree with NIK on the food front - there is little choice and if you don't like what's on offer you go hungry, as I did. That's probably why I've always had the impression that it's very over-priced as a show.

I had a bowl of chilie plunked in front of me, very unceremoniously. I'm not a big fan of chili but this one smelled rather unpleasant. The main course was a basic meat and two veg - okay but not that special and there was an apple cobbler for dessert which was okay but nothing to write home about. I decided it was worth it for the sit down and the warm up - I was perished after wandering around the parks.

The show itself was excellent but I was disappointed in the grub
