I've booked Buffalo Bills for Monday night, the night of our arrival day to celebrate DS' 6th birthday (his choice, and the first time we will have been). Anyway, we normally book a cake in a character restaurant which he loves. When chatting to the CM who booked the show, she mentioned that I could book a birthday cake at Buffalo Bills - and if I mentioned that it was his birthday, he may get picked to join in with the show. For those of you who have been, have you had/or seen someone get a birthday cake at all? Does it come with a song and a fuss? How is the show, and would a fairly timid boy want to join in, do you think?

I am thinking that maybe I should leave the cake til the next night in Cafe Mickeys or Inventions perhaps, but he has chosen BBs this time, so maybe I should get the cake there...... I just haven't got a clue - all advice gratefully received!
Thanks :sunny:

I've never seen anyone have a birthday cake in BB's so can't help you on that one sorry. We had a cake in Cafe Mickeys and it was lovely experience my 7 year old is a bit timid in fact our last visit was the first time he wanted anything to do with the characters, he loved his cake though, he was very surprised, he thought it was for one of the other diners and we had the genie and Mickey Mouse to help blow out the candles. The CM brings the cake out when you indicate you're ready, the characters, CM's and most of the other diners will join in with a rendition of Happy Birthday Disney style.

The CM's in BBs always seem to be extremely busy, rushing around with food, drinks, clearing away so I don't know if you'd get the same sort of experience.
If he's involved in the show he'll probably get to "shoot" with Annie Oakley, down in the Arena, I seem to remember a child doing that and I don't think they stayed in the arena for very long. The show is great fun, he will thoroughly enjoy it, whether he'd want to be involved :confused3
My eldest DS would've done it at any age, but the youngest probably not unless I could go with him.

There is quite limited space at BB's so personally I'd wait till at a restaurant before ordering cake :goodvibes

I agree with Ried, at BB's you are all sat facing the front and the 'table' you are eating at is barely big enough for your food & drink. There is no way you could have a cake, all admire it then eat it without it getting bashed or dropped. Also at BB's there is always something going on so I don't know when they would fit a Birthday cake presentation in, if your son wants to join in get him a bright, noticable shirt to wear and slap on a Birthday badge.

Thanks everyone, very good advice yet again!

I will book a cake for the following night - stretch the birthday out a bit!!

When we were there in October someone had a birthday and we all sang happy birthday to them and the child got chosen to take part in the shooting comp and won. I suppose you would have to ask at the front desk or the booking desk.
