Went to book this today for our trip in July. Was prepared to get 15% discount as I have shareholders card. Whilst on the phone, the lady suggested it was cheaper not to avail of discount, but to pay in sterling instead.

Think I have worked it out: (based on 2nd category seating, 2 adults, 2 kids)

Published standard rate :208 Euro:scared1:

Cost to shareholder : 172 Euro

Cost in sterling (simply by booking in advance): £136, which at todays rate works out at just over 150 Euro.:cool1:

This has massively saved us on the published standard rates at the gate, so alls well that ends well. Might be of some use to anyone planning on just paying with shareholders card when they get there:confused3

This is really weird, as I was just wondering about this very thing today! We have dream AP's, which also give a discount, and was wondering whether to pay there with these, or pre-book instead due to the sterling rate. I will be giving them a call tomorrow, thanks! :thumbsup2
