Has anybody ever experienced the parking lot at the Buffalo airport being full?
In the past I have parked in preferred long term parking and while busy I have always found a spot.
This time during the busiest week of the year, I had planned to park in long term parking as I am going for 2 weeks.
Per there web site all lots have open spots as of today and they also show another lot called long term B but list it as closed.
I tried calling but can't seem to get a person.
I have a wife that is terrified of arriving on the 24th and having no where to park.
Are there any other options to park should we find the airport full?
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks
Dan

Yes just across the street is fasttrack (used to be sunpark). I actually prefer them to the airport lot!

Hi Dan,

My 2 cents...

Parking at the Buffalo Airport is usually not an issue but during peak travel times (thanksgiving/xmas/spring break) it can be difficult to find parking if you aren't arriving early in the morning. When we flew out on boxing day last year I noticed the lots were all full at noon when we arrived via shuttle from our hotel stay. I've also flown out during the middle of the Ontario March Break and it took me 30 minutes of driving around waiting for a lot to open at 1pm. This was during a snow storm when flights were cancelled and the airport wasn't super busy but I guess the lots were full from people parking at the beginning of the March break. I'm not telling you this to freak your wife out but just to make you aware. If you're going to park at the airport give yourself plenty of extra time to wait for a spot. Having said all that...you'll likely show up and have a few hundred spots available :rotfl:

Here are a couple of other options you may want to consider...

1) Book a park/stay/fly hotel near the airport and drive down the evening of the 23rd. There are hotels that will let you leave your car for 14 days including the Holiday Inn Express. You won't have to worry about weather, border delays or finding a parking spot. You'll likely get some extra sleep also. I know it is last minute but I'm sure rooms are still available.

2) Go to www.fasttrack.com and give them a call and reserve a parking spot so that you have a guaranteed spot when you arrive on the 24th. As the previous poster mentioned, they are right across the street from the airport.
