I'm just wondering what opinions/advice you all have with regard to parking at BUF during March Break. We haven't booked yet but are looking at a flight departing on Tuesday March 15th. I prefer to park right at the airport but have never travelled over a holiday period so I'm wondering if I will have a hard time getting a spot in the long term A lot. What do you think????

Probably booking today :banana::banana::banana:

:surfweb: Just about to post the same thing here.......would love some answers too.
Me, DS and DD will stay over on March 11-fly out the 12-probably stay at Millenium as it is close to Walden. DH can't join us until the 14th.
We usually do the park/sleep/fly thing at Millenium, but with DH coming later, I'm leary about them getting him on a shuttle out on the Monday.
I'm thinking about just staying regular rate at Millenium-DH will drop us off and come back on the Monday.
I think he will then just park at the Airport. Also want to know if it will be packed. Looking at the Long Term B lot-there is a coupon for $5 off.
Anyone have experience with this.:confused3

We booked last night  Funny, my friend and I were yaking on the phone while be both booked. I got thinking afterwards that I hope I filled in all the blanks properly.

I have not yet looked at this years parking coupon on the airport website but I will assume that it's the same as always and that it covers all the lots. I like the long term A lot because it's a short walk to the terminal and plus it's what I know. For me it's worth the extra $5 or whatever.

Did you book right through the Buffalo Airport site?
I can't see where you can reserve it there:confused3
And yes, the coupon is $5 off the A lot.

No...I booked the flight. You can't book parking at the airport. You can only book parking with the private companies that are off site.

OK...there has to be at least one of you out there that has parked at BUF over March Break. How busy is it???? We are leaving on the 15th which is after MB has already started. Am I going to get a spot or will the lot be full? Our flight leaves at 2pm so we are not staying over the night before.

we have gone over march break and christmas time and have never had any trouble parking at the buffalo airport there is also a $5 off coupon on the buffalo airport website

I'm from Buffalo. I drive past the airport all the time, and I cannot remember a time all the long term lots were full, so I think you'll be fine. Even if they are, there are at least 3 long term off-site parking areas RIGHT across the street that pick you up and drop you off at your car. I have used them in the past because they are less expensive and I usually have a coupon. When I have used them, I get from my car to the airline counter in about 15 minutes.

Thanks...I always get the coupon. In fact, printed this years just yesterday.

That was exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thank you.

Do you know the names of the off site places? I wouldn't mind looking at them as a back up. The friend that I am traveling with has never used BUF so she is depending on me to know as much as I claim to. :lmao: Seriously, she gets nervous easily and having to hunt for parking would bother her. Particularly since I have had assure her many times that I truely know what's what at BUF. I've flown from that airport numerous times just never over a busy holiday period.

Now knock wood....if it snows I'll be dealing with a cat up a tree. :rotfl2:

A word of caution - we stayed at the millenium over Christmas and came home to a cracked bumper on our new car - A hotel employee backed into our car while parked. I know a freak accident that could have happened anywhere but what really bothered me is that no one thought to tell us this when we picked up the keys (at 3am) but when we went back the next morning after we noticed it to question it they knew exactly what happened - the guy we were referred to also knew exactly who had done it and where they had left the note about it.

They also neglected to tell us that they take the vehicles to an off site lot - we didn't find this out until we got back and questioned the 3 km's that had been put onto the car while we were gone. Because of this I won't use the millenium again - when I park my car I want it to be in the same place when I get back!!

I would never in a million years leave my car keys with any parking lot. There is not a single reason that they would need to have them.

Obviously a valet needs your keys but I never use them either.

We don't typically either - but when we argued the fact they said we had to either leave our keys or park elsewhere as that was their policy. I would have rather stayed at the Clarion where we've stayed before - not the best or nicest hotel but we got to keep our keys!!

We use priceline for our hotel. I always bid between $38 to $40 and either get Millenium or Days Inn. Then we drive over to airport and park there.

I have a "Park and Fly" rate booked at Sleep Inn and Suites Buffalo Airport for the end of January... does anyone know if they request your keys?
