BUF duty free????

My suggestion would be to buy the mickey in Fort Erie, drive to Buffalo airport parking lot, drink said mickey in the car then head inside. You should be good for a couple of days until you get your rental.

Problem solved. ;)

that'll work :rotfl2:

I've never bought anything in BUF so I can't remember what shops they have after you pass security. I do remember a bar/restaurant and a magazine shop.

Is there a duty free type shop that I can buy a bottle of vodka to take with us? Not for on the plane....we would like to have a little drinkie in the evening or at the pool.

TIA...:drinking1

I am not sure if this place will do it but check out www.gardengrocer.com. They will pick up and deliver groceries (and maybe booze) right to your resort. There should be a phone number that you can call too to ask them.

Other than that, I agree just buy at the resort.

BTW, how do you go to WDW with only carry on? Is someone else taking your luggage with them? Can't they pack your booze in it???

Thanks but Garden Grocer requires a $40 minimum order and they charge a fee that I think is now $17. We don't need anything else, so that's out. We will either forget the whole thing or else buy at the resort if we can. BTW, Garden Grocer does include alcohol. You can either place that order in the comment box or call them to add the info.

It's easy to only go with carry on because the US carriers are much more generous with the limits. I have a 26" bag that is within the limits. I've carried it on before and was really worried they would force me to check it. I asked and they laughed and said it was allowed. Plus, you can also take a personal item which I use a really large tote bag. The personal item has to fit under the seat. We are staying 9 nights so we will do a load of laundry in the middle of the week. We usually do that while sitting around the pool.

:lmao: The whole point is to take the bottle on vacation to drink while we are there.

You can do both. Buy what you are going to consume while away, and buy what you are bringing back fto Canada for your dutyfree exemption. That's why the "sales" at the Peace Bridge Duty Free often involve purchases of 2-4 bottles at one time.
Right now, they have 4 bottles of Crown Royal for $75 cdn. 3 bottles of Absolut vodka for $39.

I get what you are saying and it's a great idea but I think you are missing what I have said. We are only flying with carry on luggage. Which means we can not have any liquid in our bags that is larger than 3oz.
