We also just returned from BV. At first, it seems just "ok". The rooms have interior hall ways and the living room area is right when you walk in the door. There is no natural light except from one large window in the bedroom, which is pretty far away from the living room--so it seems a little drab. But the room was really clean, carpets weren't stained or anything. The bathroom was ok--not brand new but very clean. It was very quiet--we were there a week and we never heard anything except for the guy right above us had no issues with slamming his toilet seat down in the middle of the night. The staff were all very pleasant and so were the guests. The restaurant was excellent. The room service food was unbelievable too--the kids meal portions were gigantic. If you have little ones, get one order of chicken nuggets and fries for every two kids. You'll still save leftovers in the fridge. At breakfast, they served danish, little muffins, 3 different selections of fresh fruit (like cantaloup, pineapple, a fruit salad) and then they also had a hot buffet. Most mornings, it was french toast or pancakes, waffles every mornign I think, scrambled eggs every morning, sausage or bacon, grits and potatoes of some kind every morning. Then if you wanted, you could have eggs cooked to order. they also had dry cereal. The lines really were never bad for the buffet when we were there--I guess the busiest was around 8:30--maybe 7 people in line in front of you. The pool is very small, and the pool area is very noisy. This is in the front of the hotel, and it faces a very busy street. There is a high wall that blocks your view of the traffic--but you can still hear it. There were never more than one other family at the pool when we were there....and they have a nice little grill that you can order from while yoru kids splash around.
