I'm staying one night in Orlando in Aug before going to PC for a cruise. I am debating about staying at Buena Vista Suites or Pop Century. I am a family of 4 with 2 teens 17 & 19 and the other 3 people haven't been to Disney and the teens are 17 & 21. Both hotels are the same price. Has anyone staying at Buena Vista Suites or Pop Century? Pros and cons, please.

Thanks for your help.

We stayed at Pop last October and loved it there, but it was just 2 of us and the rooms are really small. Might be a little cramped. The buses here are great. We didnt move our car for the whole week.

We have reservations for Buena Vista Suites for December so I dont know much about this place but have read some good reviews about it. Big rooms and they have a free breakfast if that matters.

Hope this helps

:sunny: Just got back from BV Suites and we really liked it. The separate bedroom, pull-out couch, and free hot breakfast, paid for itself. Especially with teens, you can fill up with a hardy breakfast and then eat less for lunch. We also had a fridg, microwave, iron and hairdryer included in the price of the room. It was clean and they staff was pleasant.
Pop Century rooms are a lot smaller and none of the above is included.
If you have a car, it is a 10 min drive straight into Disney from the hotel.

D&D- Can you give any more info ont the breakfast? It sounds like you enjoyed it. What kind of hot items did they serve? We're thinking about staying there for one night in Oct. How was the pool? Thanks for your help!

We also just returned from BV. At first, it seems just "ok". The rooms have interior hall ways and the living room area is right when you walk in the door. There is no natural light except from one large window in the bedroom, which is pretty far away from the living room--so it seems a little drab. But the room was really clean, carpets weren't stained or anything. The bathroom was ok--not brand new but very clean. It was very quiet--we were there a week and we never heard anything except for the guy right above us had no issues with slamming his toilet seat down in the middle of the night. The staff were all very pleasant and so were the guests. The restaurant was excellent. The room service food was unbelievable too--the kids meal portions were gigantic. If you have little ones, get one order of chicken nuggets and fries for every two kids. You'll still save leftovers in the fridge. At breakfast, they served danish, little muffins, 3 different selections of fresh fruit (like cantaloup, pineapple, a fruit salad) and then they also had a hot buffet. Most mornings, it was french toast or pancakes, waffles every mornign I think, scrambled eggs every morning, sausage or bacon, grits and potatoes of some kind every morning. Then if you wanted, you could have eggs cooked to order. they also had dry cereal. The lines really were never bad for the buffet when we were there--I guess the busiest was around 8:30--maybe 7 people in line in front of you. The pool is very small, and the pool area is very noisy. This is in the front of the hotel, and it faces a very busy street. There is a high wall that blocks your view of the traffic--but you can still hear it. There were never more than one other family at the pool when we were there....and they have a nice little grill that you can order from while yoru kids splash around.

Thank you everyone who responded. Since there are 7 of us I think I will stay at BV. Without renting a car until I get to the hotel, any suggestions how to get to the airport to BV for 7 with lots of luggage. :confused3
