Buena Vista Suites Shuttle?

We are planning a trip to WDW in August and the Buena Vista Suites looks pretty good to us. My question is about the shuttle. How often does it run? Does it drop you off in the same place that the on-site resort buses would? Does it get stuck in all that terrible traffic i have been reading about or does it travel another route? We are trying to decide if staying at the All-Star resorts is a better option so our travel time to the parks isn't too long. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry I can't answer your shuttle question....but we did stay there at the beginning of our last trip (first night since the next day started value season) and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were very nice and clean and modern. We didn't swim but the pool looked nice - maybe a little small - but there were only two people in it when we were there. The breakfast buffet that is included is really good and calculating that in the hotel is really a steal. If you had your own car and were driving to the parks I would say go for it. I'm considering staying there our next trip. It was maybe a 5-10 minute drive and park time. Good luck deciding. It may even be more economical to stay there and rent a car. We've always gotten a rental for under $200 for 8 days (full-size and usually closer to $150).

Thanks for the info. We are driving this time so we can spend the money that would have been on airfare to go to the parks before our DCL cruise. I wanted to avoid getting in a car again after that drive so the shuttle appealed to us. It is nice to know that you had a good experience. I think we would all sleep better there as well since it is a suite with a sleeper sofa. Thanks again. :sunny:

I can tell you that the shuttle will not drop you off at the same place the DIsney buses do. Off site shuttles basically do drop off and pick up at a designated area in the parking lots. And it will be on the same roads as the rest of us....

They do not drop you right off front, you need to walk a little ways, not too far though.
Also, the buses do not run continuously. You can get a schedule when you check in from the side area with the times on it.
Basically our bus left at 8 am, we did not get in to the parks until about 9. Traffic, check in through security, etc.
Nice bus drivers!!! Left my backpack on it one night, luckily we took the next to last bus. On the last bus trip for the evening they dropped if off at the front desk.
Really nice people at the hotel too.

Have a great time.

I think at MK the busses will drop you in the parking lot- then you will have to take the monorail or ferry over to the park entrance.
