We were at WDW in March and drove by the entrance to a hotel called the Buena Vista Resort(i think that was the name). It was close to the Studios if I recall correctly. It looked really nice based on the entrance and the hotel was set way back on the property. Now, I am a big Disney fan but have never heard of this resort. Is it independently owned? What is the deal? I'm very curious!!!:confused3

Could you be talking about Bonnet Creek Resort? There is a Buena Vista Palace in the Downtown Disney resort area but that's not near the Studios. The Bonnet Creek resort is fairly close to CBR, Studios and the Epcot resort area.

If it is, this resort is not owned by Disney. It's a piece of property that the owner decided not to sell to Disney. The resort has several hotels including a Hilton, Hilton Vacation Club and Waldorf Astoria. They are disallowed from using Disney transportation to the parks and are not eligible for any Disney resort perks, such as, EMH and Magical Express.

Yes! Bonnet Creek Resort was the name of it! I knew it was also the name of something else on Disney property. I remembered Buena Vista instead of Bonnet Creek. Thanks for the info.
