Buena Vista Palace

Hi, everyone! I have been reading the boards on here for months, but never posted until today. I am getting married in Dec and finally went to Orlando for a site visit 2 weeks ago. So now I have lots of questions! haha Has anyone ever considered or had a wedding at Buena Vista Palace? We have our wedding scheduled at SOG right now but looked at a few other places when we went a few weeks ago. S/D is a little out of our price range with some of their food minimums. We love the Gazebo at Buena Vista and their top floor for the reception site. I love SOG but getting a little frustrated with their packages. Thank you!

I'm checking this venue next week as well i also like the gazebo but the top restaurant is not available on my date (1yr and 2months from now!!) so not sure what they can suggest.. :-/

We ended up checking them out when Disney first changed their pricing structure, since we weren't sure we would be able to afford getting married at Disney but still wanted to be in the area. The really do have some gorgeous areas - some of them I even like better than those offered through Disney! Prices are really reasonable too, and the contact person for events was really sweet when I was inquiring.

They do have a Veranda area right inside from the Lakeside gazebo. It overlooks the lake and has windows all around, so that is an alternative to the top floor. I have been very impressed with Aubrey, the Event/Catering manager. She was awesome at our site visit.

Do you know that you can have your ceremony at the S/D and your reception somewhere else, if the S/D prices are a little out of your budget?
Quite a lot of S/D brides have their reception elsewhere xx
