Buena Vista Palace - shuttle reviews?

Staying at Buena Vista palace for a quick last minute trip to WDW this weekend and wondering if anyone has any opinions about its shuttle to the parks? I'm pretty patient if I have to wait awhile for it, but if it's really slow/unreliable I might need to look into a car rental. I'm trying to save a few bucks so i would like to do without a car if at all possible. Thanks for any advice/tips!

we took it over summer last year. Can't recall schedule-but i don't think we waited too long going to MK. Th e issue was on the way back-the bus goes to the outer parking lots that i didn't know exiated and so at closing with a 4 and 7 yo we were in the wrong place for 25 minutes b4 getting to the lot.

FYI-BVP is a quick walk to DTD and their buses-which may not be any better...
