I'm trying to find a place to stay for 4 adults and 1 child for an early May trip. Ideally we want a 2BR suite, or at least one room with a seperate living and bedroom area and another traditional room closeby. I'm considering the Royal Plaza, Caribe Royale, Buena Vista Palace or staying onsite. I might be able to book a 2BR at Old Key West, but I'm not sure yet. I need some honest advice on which place to book. I need to consider quality, cost, transportation to DTD and the parks etc. This is a first trip for 2 of the adults and the little one so this stuff is sooo important. Please help!! Thanks!!

We will be staying at Caribe Royale for the first time this May (only one night - we will be staying at BCV the rest of our stay). I have not stayed their before, but the deal I saw on mousesavers.com is what sold me. The review of the hotel on the mousesavers website sounds great, and for $109/night for a 1 bedroom suite that will sleep up to 6, I couldn't pass it up! I think the rates they are offering are $109 for 1 bdrm suite or $239 for a 2 bdrm villa (full kitchen). This is for dates between 5/1/07 - 6/28/07. Great deal!

Just moving this downstairs for you!

We have a July trip planned and there are 6 of us, me, DH, DD, DGD x 2 and DGS. So we needed two bedrooms. I had a 2 bedroom villa at the Royale Caribe booked at a good price. Then I checked Trip Advisor and the reviews scared me enough to cancel our reservation. I've since booked two rooms at CSR. I just didn't want to take the chance and possibly ruin a once in a lifetime trip with our grandkids.

Hi,

I responded to your PM, then saw your post. Wanted to add my two cents.

I would consider staying on-site if at all possible. Transportation alone is worth it in my opinion. It isn't necessarily perfect, but it is better than any off-site resort transportation.

We stayed at OKW last time we were there. It has larger rooms and two queen beds...that was our main concern having two teenage boys. It is a beautiful resort...quiet and relaxing.

On the other hand, it depends on what your focus will be. When we go to WDW, we are there for the parks. We have never stayed more than 5 days, so we want to get the most out of Disney as we can. If you are staying longer and plan to do other activities besides Disney, it would probably be a pretty good decision to stay off-site.

Either way, I hope you have a great time.
