Buena Vista Palace or Doubletree Suites

I am planning a family vacation for my Dad's 70th bday which will include travel for 5 adults and 3 kids ages 2,4,7. We would split the group up into 3 adults in 1 room and 2 adults and 3 kids in another. Trying to find a place with suites. Has anyone recently stayed at the Buena Vista Palace in their 2 or 3 BR suites? Buena Vista Palace has some good reviews on other sites, but also mixed with some ? ones too. My second choice is the Doubletree.
