Budgeting for new carpet -- top brands??

I am in desperate need of new carpet in the living room, master bedroom, and DD's bedroom. What brands are good quality? I need something that will hold up to very high traffic. And please don't suggest laminate or hardwood -- DH will never go for that.

there is no such thing as a "good" brand. Every maker of carpet makes a cheap low end product.

Karastan is an excellent rug and carpeting manufacturer. The are on the high end. We've had ours in bedrooms & hallway for almost 5 years and it still looks and feels great!
