budget surprises

In a few weeks we will be in Disney For the 1st time we have scheduled a surprise 1 day visit to Seaworld. I have already ordered my kids baskets from Memories by Betsy. In the basket she has a stuffed sea creature for both baskets. I would like to find something cheap for each day for them leading up to the day we go to Seaworld which is our last full day there. So I need at least small items I can pack that want give it away to much. LOL. Of course when they see the stuffed sea creature they will probably figure it out anyway since they know we have a surprise but they don't know what it is yet. 1 thing that I can think of whale snack cheese crackers from the dollar store, since we buy those a lot and we always take snacks with us they won't think anything about those. Anything else you guys can help me think of?

Kroger sells generic fruit snacks, I've seen Shark ones every time. They are around $1 for a box of 6 packs.

Sea world? I am saddened to hear people continue to support this place.. These types of animals do not belong in tanks for people to look at. They are not "trick" animals who want to put on shows. They belong back in the oceans where they were cruelly captured from from. Please watch a documentary called "Blackfish" or at least google it and find out why people are trying to get Seaworld to release it animals and close it's parks down!

I hate to but in on a topic that has nothing to do with your political rant but.... LOL!


Sea World has a huge animal rescue effort but neither CNN or the uninformed want to hear about anything that doesn't completely support one view.

But if you get your way one thing will be sure to happen. More animals will die. Animals that have been raised in captivity just 'released' to make people happy won't live. Animals that benefited from rescue efforts that will no longer be funded etc...

(By the way just in case you missed Disney has animals captive too LOL! )

I hope that you don't support Disney or your local zoo or the circus, as they also have animals in captivity.




OP--you can get chocolate molds off Amazon, that are sea creatures. Seahorses, fish, etc. easy to make, just melt some chocolate and pop them in the freezer. (Or you can get the heavy duty ones and make suckers).
Oh, and on Etsy, I know I've seen fish suckers (shaped or decorated, not tasting of), but I'm sure they are pricy.

Actually I have never or would never go to a circus where they exploit animals. As far as a zoo is concerned, yes I took my children to the Brookfield Zoo when they were young. However I don't see the need to visit any longer. And I will give Disney credit for trying to give their animals enough space to live in.
But, what people need to realize is that as we learn about animals we need to understand that holding them in captivity is not in their best interests. At one time people put bears and tigers in small cages and people paid to see them. I hope people would see that as cruel. So, as more research is done and we learn more, we need to do better as a society.
