Budget Rentals

I was checking prices last night on rental cars and Budget was any where from $30 to $80 cheaper. Also with my mastercard there was a promo that got me one free upgrade. I was wondering if this was too good to be true. We will be going in Oct. It will be just my wife and I. We are having an anniversery trip, and leaving the children with my MIL. Is Budget too good to be true or should we go for it. We have used Avis before and were very happy.

We rented from Budget in Jan 03 and they were at the airport. We have rented from Budget several times with little or no problems. Join Fastbreak and you won't have to wait in the long line at the counter.

We used Budget back in Jan/Feb and had a great experience. We picked up a car at MCO that was supposed to be economy, but instead we received a Pontiac Gram Am. We dropped it off at Cocoa Beach as we headed to the DCL cruise. When we returned, we picked up another Budget car and again received a free upgrade from an economy car (this time a Ford Focus with 11 miles on it).

Just checked Budget and got the best rate so far for 10/27 - 11/08. $315.42 for 12 days FULL size car. National was $25 more for an intermediate!! Finally the rates have started dropping!! Hopefully, we'll be able to get under $300, by the time we go.

Hey looks like we arrive the same day we are getting there 10/27 and also found Budget to be the cheapest never used them but for a 8 pass van it was 100-200 cheaper. If you are a member to BJ's there is another discount to use.

They are definitely at the airport. They seem to moving aggressively onto Priceline, as we have gotten them several times now. I have always been pleased; lines have been reasonable, although the cars do seem to be a little more dinged up than some of the other companies. But they once upgraded me for free from economy to a Ford Escape (and I didn't even have a coupon). Overall, I like them and am always pleased when Bill Shatner gives them to us.

Sorry no info here, haven't rented from Budget before, but thanks for the heads-up on the good rates. Checked our Dec rates using the BCD# and coupon found on mousesavers and got $249.86 for a full-size for our 10 day rental from 12/15 to 12/25.

Question, does anyone know if the rate I reserved at is before or after the $20 off coupon that is to be used with this internet rate and BCD number??? The coupon states "Get up to 25% off and take an extra $20 off the weekly rental when you present this coupon" Either way it is still a good rate, but it'd be excellent if there was an extra $20 off.

Also, it doesn't mention whether a spouse as an additional driver will be subject to extra charges or not. I'll call them tomorrow but does anyone know offhand?

This is the first time we wil ever use Budget, usually it is not the cheapest, but this time it was as we got a mini van for 8/21-8/31 and it was $400.05 with taxes etc..I keep trying everyone else and their quotes are anywhere from $628-740!

It was in addition to my other discount AND I got an upgrade I didn't ask for!!
