Please tell me if this has happened to anyone else? I have been checking on prices of rental cars through Budget. Just entering my dates, I end up with a price of $113.99/week for a Ranger Truck (this is the only price I can remember off of the price of my head) but when I enter any coupon code through from my entertainment book (1 free upgrade, save 20% weekly rate, or $25 off weekly) the price for the truck comes up as $119.99/weekly, along with all of the other cars being a higher price. Should I only be attempting to use these coupons over the phone??
Help :)

Go to mousesavers.com.... there's a coupon there for Budget that will save you $20.

I've read before that sometimes using coupons actually brings the prices up on rental cars. Makes you feel like you're saving if you don't know any better. -HM

It seems to depend upon when you are booking for. The rental car companies adjust the rates almost daily, trying to keep the cars out. If you are booking for a slow week, you very well might get a better deal than using any coupons, since the coupons and discounts normally come off the "regular" rate.
