Budget place to buy inflated helium balloons?

I would like to get my kids each a helium balloon for Valentine's day, it's our tradition and really the only time we buy them except at WDW or DL. The only problem is my DH will be away for the next two weeks, he won't be home until late Feb.14th so I won't be able to go into a store alone to buy them. Does anyone have any recommendations of someplace I could order them from and have them delivered? I would prefer to be able to choose them, like get them their fave characters, but the only place I could find when I did a search wanted $26-$30 per balloon not counting shipping .

If he hasn't left yet you could run to walmart and buy your own helium tank for $20 and pick out what ballons you want. I bought one for my son's 2nd bday party and just ran out of the helium for their 4th bday. When you store it you have to make sure that you close the valve securely.

My best Valentine's Day ever actually happened on Feb. 15. My DH and I were newlyweds and didn't have much money. Since he worked on the 14th, we decided to celebrate on the 15th. He was able to go to Hallmark on the 15th and get about 10 balloons for just a couple of dollars! Add a box of discounted candy and things were great! Would your kids rather celebrate on the 15th when both dad & you could be with them?

Try calling a flower shop. They will usually deliver the balloons too and at a lot less then 30 bucks

Thanks for the suggestions. As far as celebrating on the 15th, if it was a bigger holiday like Christmas I would, but the kids are pretty used to Dad not being there for things like this and we don't know for sure that he'll be home for the 15th either.

I like the idea of buying a helium tank, do you need to buy the clips and weights separately or does it come with some? I could see us getting our money's worth out of that.

Our local Dollar Tree sells helium balloons for $1 each. I'd suggest you look in a dollar store near you

Our Party City usually puts the red heart mylar balloons on sale for $.39 about one or two weeks before Valentine's Day. You wouldn't want to wait until the 14th or they would be sold out but you could pick them up quite a few days early and they would still be full.
