Curious how you do a meal budget per day? Not all meals need to be in the park to save money either. Family of 4, 11 &8 year old boys.

We are a family of 4 too, my boys are 11 and 9. I am budgeting between $150 to $200 per day for us, and purchasing a giftcard for each day we are there. We also eat at Mimi's cafe, and cereal, toaster stuff, and sandwiches in the room. This money will be used for souviners as well.

We've budgeted about $150 a day for the three of us (for meals and souvenirs), but I'm thinking we'll come under quite a bit. We're only doing a few table service meals, and fully intend to use nearby places like Taco Bell and Dominos for dinner most nights since the parks close early and we'll have a car.

We budgeted $125 for our family last year for 4 people. Our $ stayed in the food budget wallet so it carried over. For example our character breakfast was about 80 bucks but the day before we only spen t 75 of our budget so we had extra to make it.
My 2 kids each get a $50 Disney card for their wants. We usually get 1 snack per day at the park

I'm budgeting $200/day for our family of 5 (13, 10 & 7). I'm planning on doing one bigger meal per day (Character breakfast, Big Thunder Ranch BBQ, etc) one smaller meal per day, and then snacks the rest of the time.

I'm kind of sad that my 10yo has to pay adult prices at the Character meal & Big Thunder BBQ because he eats the least out of all 3 of my kids, by far. Oh well, what can you do? :confused3

I have a family of five including myself. We are all over the age of 20 but we went for 5 nights and 6 days and did 1000 for spending money and 1000 for food (thats for all 6 days including the day of arrival and departure) and ate at the park or dtd and come home with extra money.... We ended up snacking more than eating 3 meals per day. :rotfl2:

we are a family of 7 and we spend 5 days in the park and I put aside 300$ a day for food and snacks. In the end we ate all our food in the park (except one sit down meal in downtown disney) and we came home with money left over.
