I have been collecting free samples in the mail of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. and saving them for the Disney trip. Not only will it save me money, but anything I don't use, I can throw away without feeling guilty. It was free. The samples are small so they pack nicely and don't take a lot of room. Found all samples through a sample message board, and all it took was a little time. In 6 months, I have almost enough samples to cover our entire trip.

Ooooh! Nice idea. I usually purchase the small trail size at WalMart and refill the shampoo/conditioner/mouthwash bottles. This is even more economical!

Thanks for the links! :)

Thanks! I just signed up for a couple free samples of stuff we usually use anyway! I too buy the samples at Walmart for our vacations, but this is much better! I never thought to look for them free on their websites!

I have been doing the same thing. This way when we are done with them I can just pitch them. I have toothpaste, conditioner so far.

Thanks for the reminder to make a list of what we will need.

Another tip in the same vein if you're a couponer--some healthy & beauty coupons don't have size restrictions on them (they'll say ANY) and you can use them on travel sizes and get freebies that way. The best places to do this are Target and Walmart, although occasionally you might get a cashier who doesn't want to take the coupons. Usually I have no problem, though. We're staying offsite, so I've got some of those cute little bottles of Tide saved up, along with tons of various shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, toothpaste, etc. that were all free.

What a great idea to get some of the products I am having a hard time finding samples of. Thanks!!

I did this to pack for hospital stays when my ds was hospitalized often and it worked great, that way I could always have an emergency bag packed, ready to go. :flower1:

Hi Eeyore Kelly...I checked out your website link and was wondering if you know anything about the "secret shoppers"? Seems they need one in my area and I can have a $1000 (yes, 4 zeros) if I fill out a questionnare, et. Is this ligit? What about doing surveys online? Do you know anything about this? TIA

That front page of that website looks a little "scammy" (is that even a word?) to me. It promises free ipods, gas cards, etc. I have never investigated those offers, I have just avoided them. I suggest you go to the message boards entrance and look there. I have gotten all my samples and coupons from there.

Edited to add: I don't pay any money to anyone for FREE samples and coupons. Not membership fees, postage/ shipping etc. If it is not 100% free it beats the purpose IMO.

I also only apply for samples I can use. I am am honest. I don't make up a business to get free business samples etc. Some people get caught up in it to just get as much free stuff as possible.
