I know, budget is relative!
My friend and I are going to NYC in May. We're currently booked at the Soldier/Sailor/Airman's Club (essentially a military hostel, which I guess beats a hostile military
) at $110 for our room. Trying to see if there's something a step up, that's still not a whole lot more. We'll be doing the typical tourist stuff, so planning to stay in Manhattan. Doesn't have to be fancy (where we're booked already surely isn't, lol) but clean/safe area.
We could use either a military or AAA discount. I found a listing of hotels on the USO's page that offer military discounts, but most of those rates were more than the internet rate. (Because military folks don't have internet to see that? I'm not sure.)
