Budget matching price of Alamo?

Anyone had luck getting Budget to match a price on the same category rental as Alamo? It is not a big difference, but I was thinking of giving them a call and seeing if they would match the price. I am even using a code with Budget and it is still more than the rate from Alamo.

I have negotiated successfully at the airport at times for lower rates/upgrades but have never done it in advance and wondered if anyone here had tried.

Anyone have any input?

They generally do not do this, but, what the heck, give them a call and ask, they can only say no.
