hi all
i joined fastbreak so i could avoid lines. however, whenever i try to go to their website, i'm unable to get a screen where i can put in my codes/coupons.

even when i sign out, it still won't let me put in any codes. anybody know what i'm doing wrong?

thanks

It is my understanding that when you use Fastbreak, you cannot use coupons. Fastbreak also has its own code, but you can modify your profile to use a different code. I found out the hard way, when I called to add my Fastbreak # to my ressie, and then was told I could not use my coupon AND they could not change the ressie back without it going to current rates which were much higher. I was also told that at the end of the rental they give you a 10% discount on the base rental rate. It seemed strange, because on the website I could not find this - Fastbreak is promoted as a way to save time at the counter. Anyway I asked for a supervisor and was told nobody was available. When I asked when one would be available they said they could put my name on a list and I would be called back in 24 - 48 hours. That was over a week ago! Needless to say, I now believe the bad things I've read about Budget, and I cancelled my ressie!

Good luck to you!

Make your ressie WITHOUT your FastBreak number. Use whatever codes or coupons you have. When everything's final, call or e-mail them with your reservation number and ask them to apply your FastBreak number.

You can find a 'contact' tab at the bottom of their page. I like to e-mail them as I can copy their response and have it 'in hand' when I pick up the car.

I'm not a computer expert, but I think you might have to delete your temporary internet file. Someone...help me if I'm wrong!? And then try making a reservation without your FB number.

I just used budget for the first time last week. Like the above poster mentioned , book your reservation online then call the 800 number and have them attach your fastbreak number to your reservation. That is what I did. I also got a coupon off of BJ's website for budget it was a coupon for 15% off then an extra $20 off the price. It worked great. (just gave them the coupon on arrival did not have to show my BJ's card-m they never even asked for it)

What was funny is I got fastbreak to avoid the lines as well but when I arrived at 8am friday morning there was one person online-lol. I did have to ask them where I go b/c there were no signs that I saw that directed fastbreak members. You don't even need to go to the front counter just as soon as you see the budget counter go out the front doors and the parking garage across the way is where all the rental car companies are and there are signs when you get outside. Walked right up to the kiosk , very quick service and the gentleman was very nice and gave me a choice between two cars...we told him which one we wanted and we were on our way.

We had our first experience with Budget's Fastbreak two weeks ago.

We booked on line using a BJ's coupon for $20 off. Then signed up for FB. Then called and had our FB number added to the ressie.

We went straight to the kiosk in the garage. The person pulled up our reservation and it was $10 more than my confirmation (had a printout with me). He wouldn't accept my coupon (the computer didn't show anything about a coupon.

Didn't pursue it then but when I got home I called (transferred me to customer service) and they credited my account for the additional $10.

It all seems a little strange using Budget. When you use a coupon, it has both a BCD# and a coupon # but there is no place to put the coupon # on line. I tried using a coupon for a free weekend day (entertainment book) and I couldn't get it to work (and I met all the requirements, picking up on Fri and returning on Mon etc.) and I was guessing it was because I couldn't put in the coupon #.

Sounds like the coupon question depends on who you talk to. I am curious if anyone got the 10% discount at the end (or if I was talking to a clueless agent)???

WHen I went and gave them my reservation upon arrival I handed them my coupon with the extra $20 off. They never handed me the final bill until I actually bought the car back a week later. I checked my bill and the $20 was deducted from it.
