My BIL got a great deal today for a minivan(Budget)using Priceline. I think its great except I believe I read here on the DIS That if you get a rental through Priceline, you cannot use programs like Fastbreak. anyone know if its true? Thanks!

That is true. You don't get the FastBreak, EA etc benefits with PL.

I told him about not being able to use FastBreak and this is what he said;"Even though I got the rate thru priceline, it wasn't a negotiated rate, it was an internet rate and they took my fastbreak #." Is he right about this? Just want to get the facts!

Thanks!

Each time I've used priceline I've not been able to use any of the loyalty programs (hotels, cars or air). If what your BIL says is true, that's great, but in my experience it's just not been the case.

Should he just go to the kiosk in the garage with his paperwork printed from the computer?

Help me a little with Priceline - is it true that they pick your car agency & you're stuck with whomever they choose? I found a good rate with them but am leary to book it. What if they pick one that doesn't have an agency within MCO? HELP!!!

Depends. There are two ways to obtain a rental car with Priceline.

If you just accept what is initially offerred you can certainly choose the agency you want.

If you decide to "name your own Price" (ie. bid) then you have to use whichever agency accepted your bid.

Ok - I thought that was the case. I'm just nervous to do that. Thanks for the help!

Go to priceline and check which car rental agencies they use- ( they are 5 major ones) if you can live with any one of those - I would go priceline- that is how I rent my cars-
