I posted this over on the Tips board but KNOW you all come come up with some great budget ideas...Christmas is over, it's freezing outside, and I want to go back to Disney...NOW! OK, sorry, just pouting a bit .

I need to know what you all do for an in-between trip Disney fix. In other words what do you do for that magical, warm, and sunny feeling you get when your at Disney when your not at Disney Am I making sense?

I need some Disney magic and don't think the people at the local Disney store want to see me hanging around there anymore :rolleyes1

So any and all "Disney Fix" tips would sooo be appreciated about now! Thanks!!

Emmy

My nephew bought me Song of the South for Christmas so I imagine I'll be watching that tonight. :earboy2:

Just thought of another.....decorate your bedroom in the style of your favorite resort.

Just about everywhere that sells the Disney kitchen stuff. I remember seeing it at one of the Contemporary gift shops as well as in the gift shop at Pop and at a shop in the MK I do believe as well.

Happy hunting.

Planning the next trip always helps!! But yeah, watching old vacation videos, the planning videos, the Travel Channel specials that I have on tape. . . But the planning and researching is what really gets me through. Even if I don't have definite dates set, there are things I can research - the way I see it, there is SO much at Disney that even though I've been there more times than I can count, there are still a bunch of things I've never done that I would like to. . . so researching these sorts of things and making plans in my head makes the time go a little faster.

Making CDs full of park music is ALWAYS good too. Between all of my compilation CDs, there are enough park tunes to burn a full CD . . . listening to that in the car (especially days I have a long drive - I commute to school an hour and a half)

Oh and if you get Radio Disney in your area - tuning into Playhouse Disney from 12-2 always puts a smile on my face. That's when you'll catch actual Disney songs.

I post here and help others plan their trips.

I read the trip reports board.

I plan "imaginary" trips.

I listen to Live 265 Radio . The Park Hopper link is especially helpful in getting over the "I gotta be there" blues. Right now, they're playing the soundtrack from "It's Tough to be a Bug"; the whole soundtrack!

I get out photos of past trips and I remember the magic.

I wear my WDW t-shirts, sweatshirts and socks. My Mickey Mouse watch is a wardrobe essential.

I make Mickey waffles from my own Mickey wafflemaker.

None of this is the same as being there, but it helps!

- Arrange my previous trip photos.

- Write reviews of my vacation/stay

- Plan my next vacation with a theme - "Things We've Never Done Trip" or "Greatest Hits Trip" or "Mother/Daughter Girly-Girl Trip"

- Review Trip Planning Videos

- Go to area attractions with animatronics (went to Yankee Candle Factory in Deerfield, MA yesterday!)

- Review my balance of rewards: Marriott rewards, Disney VISA, Delta Skymiles

- Think of ways to save for the next trip!

- Get WAAAAAY too excited about other people's trips and help them plan them!

- Shop at the Disney STore!

Thanks for the radio link I about forgot that!!! I just added it too my itunes library

Debbiedoo - how do you add the disney radio to iTunes? I don't see it listed under the radio options.

Thanks for the radio link!!! I never knew there was anything like that on the internet.

Now the planning and the waiting :guilty: begin.

I forgot about that as well!! I had the link saved but for some reason never thought about doing this. . . I just set up my Roxio Sound Editor to start recording. Looks like a brand new Parks CD for ME!! (or 2, or 3, or 4 new CDs, LOL!)

I love to pay Disney Scene It to get over my Disney fix. It has so many fun movie clips, and I always learn something new from the trivia questions.

OOOh thanx for the dis radio link. I'm listening to the parade music right now!!! I'm so much more excited than the other 10 people who are traveling w me in April. They think I'm a Kook! :jumping4:
Happy New Year all you Disney Nuts!
