Budget College Diploma Frames?

So after getting her master's almost 3 years ago, the future Mrs. hAm53 is finally looking for a frame for her diploma. However, she wants one that has the college name and crest embossed onto the frame's mat. the only one we found (from our college's bookstore) is like 230 bucks!!! there are a couple places online that have the frames, and claim to have the mats, but they look kinda sketchy.
does anyone know a place where we can score one as close to $100 as possible? I was even thinking about bringing my frame to one of those craft stores like Michael's and seeing if they could copy if for her.

Good question!

We have 2 graduating in May. One with her PharmD. I am sure that she is going to want one of those fancy frames. I would love to know if there is a way to get her diploma framed nicely - but at a discount.

I've had several things framed at Michael's, and I've been pleased with the results. They often run 50% off coupons in the Sunday papers. Be forewarned: they still aren't cheap, but they are less expensive than other quality framing choices.

I just bought a frame from wal-mart when I graduated. I can't imagine spending a $100 or more just for a frame.
