I'm starting this thread as a way to assist those who are just jumping on the budget bandwagon. It's easy once you've got a budget all set up for yourself but remember when you didn't have one? I remember what early Oct. did for me when I first started adhering to one, there are 11 birthdays in our family in the first 9 days in Oct. - certainly a budget buster if there ever was one!!
Needless to say it's quite often the unexpected/unknown things that can send one for a loop.
Let's start of list of what the line items are in our budgets. Perhaps we can shave a few months off of the time it takes to perfect ones own budget.
